Free help with tax returns on 'Super Refund Saturday'
CASH Oregon, a nonprofit that offers free help with tax returns, is hosting its first "Super Refund Saturday" event, co-sponsored by AARP Tax-Aide and KeyBank.
This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., volunteers will be available at Lloyd Center Mall (Suite 2025) and the Beaverton Resource Center to help people fill out and file their returns.lem." But Richard Panick, an IRS spokesman in Seattle, said the policy isn't likely to change.

KeyBank, CASH Oregon and AARP Tax-Aide are offering “Super Refund Saturday” -- a free tax preparation event Saturday, Feb. 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at two locations: inside Lloyd Center Mall (Suite 2025) and at the Beaverton Resource Center (12500 Allen Blvd).

Without a computer, what's a taxpayer to do these days?
...CASH Oregon, a Portland nonprofit that provides free tax filing assistance, has seen a 50 percent jump in the number of people coming to its main Lloyd Center office, executive director Rob Justus said. The office filed more than 100 returns Thursday and has processed more than 3,000 throughout the season. "There are large numbers of seniors and low-income people who do not have access to the Internet," Justus said. "It's a problem." But Richard Panick, an IRS spokesman in Seattle, said the policy isn't likely to change.

CASH Oregon Lloyd Center Tax Site
Our Lloyd Center site hits 3,000 returns! This morning at 9:44 am, the Lloyd Center site processed its 3,000th return of the 2010 tax season. Ms. Pat Wold was the Lloyd Center camper who completed the return for a happy client. Thanks Pat and all of our wonderful volunteer tax preparers, Jeff Malmquist our FANTASTIC Local Coordinator, and Misha Staggs our FANTASTIC Client Facilitator!

In our efforts to better serve the disabled community, we hosted the Real
Economic Impact (REI) Tour. Attendees from many local agencies that serve the disabled participated in an open disability workgroup discussion. CASH Oregon will continue to assist the disabled community by providing free tax preparation, tax credit outreach, and financial programs.
