State Earned Income Tax Credit

You are allowed an Oregon earned income credit (EIC) if you qualify for the earned income credit on your federal return. Your Oregon earned income credit is now refundable. If the credit is more than your tax liability, the difference will be refunded to you. The credit is 5 percent of your federal EIC.

Working Family Child Care Credit (WFCC)

This credit is available to low-income working parents with qualifying child care expenses. The credit is based on:

  • Your qualifying child care expenses,
  • The number of people in your family (household size) and,
  • Your federal adjusted gross income.

The credit can be as much as 40 percent of your child care expenses. The working family child care credit is refundable. If the credit is more than your tax liability you will receive the difference.
